BRIEF
​This website presents an example of an evidence-based rehabilitation programme that has been designed to meet the following assumptions:

The reader will be the patient (lay audience)

The injury is a Type II SLAP tear

The patient is an overhead athlete (basketball player)

The exercises prescribed are for the early-to-intermediate stages of rehabilitation (conservative management)

Six levels/progressions are provided, addressing the following domains:

Range of motion and flexibility

Isometric, concentric and eccentric strength (open and closed chain)

Gait/movement re-education

Proprioception
-
Core stability and strength
-

The patient will be regularly supervised and assessed by their Sports Therapist, per the instructions in the User Guide​ page
